Responsible Gaming

Observe: Responsible gaming means treating play as entertainment, setting clear limits, and never risking money you cannot afford to lose. Expand: wpt-global promotes informed decisions, tools that help you stay in control, and access to confidential support. Reflect: If you feel your play is becoming problematic, we will help you pause, limit, or close your account and connect you with professional services in Canada.

Risk Awareness

Observe: Gambling carries financial and emotional risks. Expand: Early recognition reduces harm. Reflect: Review the signs below and use the self-check to assess your current behaviour.

Common warning signs

  • Increasing bet sizes or chasing losses after losing sessions
  • Thinking about gambling outside of play, or feeling restless when not playing
  • Playing longer than planned or missing work/study/family obligations
  • Hiding spend or play from family/friends; borrowing to gamble
  • Using gambling to cope with stress, anxiety, or low mood
  • Repeatedly depositing after setting limits or ignoring pop-up warnings

Quick self-assessment

Answer Yes/No to each:

  • I have spent more than I planned to in the last month.
  • I have tried to win back money I lost by gambling more.
  • Friends or family have expressed concern about my gambling.
  • I feel guilty, stressed, or anxious about my gambling.
  • I have used money meant for bills, rent, or essentials to gamble.
  • I find it hard to stop once I start playing.

If you answered "Yes" to two or more statements, consider taking a break, setting stricter limits, or seeking help below.

Limits & Tools

Observe: Limits help you control spend and time. Expand: wpt-global provides configurable deposit, spend, and session tools. Reflect: Strong limits applied early are most effective.

Deposit limits (daily/weekly/monthly)

  1. Go to Account > Responsible Gaming on wpt-global-ca.com.
  2. Select Deposit Limits and choose a period: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
  3. Enter a maximum amount you can afford (example: Daily CAD 50; Weekly CAD 150; Monthly CAD 400).
  4. Confirm to apply. Lowering limits takes effect immediately. Increasing limits is subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period and re-confirmation.

Time controls (session timer and Time-Out)

  • Session timer: Set a reminder (e.g., every 30/60 minutes) in Account > Responsible Gaming > Time Controls. A pop-up will prompt you to continue or log out.
  • Time-Out (short break):
    1. Account > Responsible Gaming > Time-Out.
    2. Choose 24, 48, or 72 hours (you can also select up to 30 days).
    3. Confirm. During Time-Out, log-in and deposits are blocked. Once the period ends, access is automatically restored.

Regional compliance note: You must be of legal age in your province/territory (19+, or 18+ in AB, MB, QC). Ontario residents cannot access wpt-global services.

Self-Exclusion

Observe: Self-exclusion provides a stronger, longer lock on your account. Expand: Choose a period that reflects your needs; we will enforce it strictly. Reflect: Use provincial helplines for counselling alongside exclusion.

How to self-exclude

  1. Go to Account > Responsible Gaming > Self-Exclusion.
  2. Select a period: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, or lifetime.
  3. Read and confirm the acknowledgements (you understand access is blocked and marketing is stopped).
  4. Enter "CONFIRM" and submit. You will receive an on-screen and email confirmation.

What happens next

  • Access: Immediate block on log-in, deposits, gameplay, and new accounts. Marketing communications are stopped within 72 hours.
  • Balance and withdrawals: We will attempt to return any remaining real-money balance to your last verified payment method. You may be asked to complete standard KYC/AML checks. Bonus funds, loyalty points, and unused bonus tickets are forfeited as per the Bonus Terms. Pending tournament entries may be voided and handled per the relevant tournament policy.
  • Reactivation: Temporary self-exclusions cannot be lifted early. After expiry, you must submit a fresh request to reopen and pass affordability/safety checks. Lifetime exclusions are permanent.
  • Support: If you need help during exclusion, use the Support Resources below; our team can provide non-account-specific guidance even if you cannot log in.

Jurisdiction note: Canadian provincial self-exclusion schemes generally apply to provincially operated gambling. As wpt-global operates under Curaçao licence OGL/2025/522/0354 (Seventip N.V.), your exclusion here does not automatically apply to other operators, and vice versa.
